Thread: New Minn Kota switch problems.

I just picked up a new boat on Friday and I ordered it with an upgraded Minkota Maxxum Bow Mount 55lb (12v) with the Digital Analyzer. The push button magnet in the pedal doesn't always work. The unit has power because it works in the constant mode.
It looks like the magnet keeps sliding down in the clip enough where the magnet in the top piece doesn't always make contact. I know this is under warranty but the dealer knows nothing about Minkota. They are a Tracker dealer and only work on Motor Guides.
Has anybody else had any problems with this switch?

I had problems with my PD V2 with AP after I bought it. My switch problem was in the cCON/MOM switch. I took the pedal apart, looked at it a while, tightened a few screws and put it back together.(It's really a simple circuit board in the foot pedal that didn't impress me much.) But it started working again....Not long after that I went with a wired Hand Control and just keep the foot pedal as a backup.
