For the money humming bird side scan just every day fishing which one bout $2500.00 MAX AND WHERE'S THE BEST PLACE TO BUY IT?

i have a 1197 its about 3 months old, it cost 2999. tax, ill part with it and the gimble mount for 2500. plus a extra gps receiver and a power cord so you can play with it inside the house,.

I would check out the pricing at J&H Products. They currently are carrying the new 798, the 997, and 1197 with what looks like good pricing. The big question you will have to answer is how big a display screen is big enough.

To decide which one you may want to talk with others and try to go by somewhere like Bass Pro Shops or Cabelas so you can see the display sizes and play with the menus.

not all that thrilled about it, it hasnt been any extra fish in the boat, and its so big it want fit in dash so i gimble mount it off on the side, if battery ever fails i really think i could use it for a sail and sail back to the ramp..when i look at it i honestly dont see 3300.bucks

I understand. I use mine mainly when the fishing is tough, so I can look for potential spots. I marked a bunch this winter the should be good for summer fishing, we'll see how that plays out.

I love mine and i don't know all about it yet but it will show you what's under the water so you can mark great fishing spots.
