    Default Minkota Batt Charger


    I have a two bank 5 amp per bank on board charger, it is 1 year old and the batt. are also. My problem is I think only one bank is charging, is there a good way to trouble shoot? I hane not had a problem till now

    If the batteries are not connected in parallel check the voltage at each battery with the charger unpluged. Now plug the charger in and recheck. If its working OK you will see an increase in voltage at both batteries. If they are connected in parallel, disconnect one lead and check one at a time.

    I had that same problem with my minnkota several rears ago. I had to get another one. I bought the cheapest BPS had and have had no problems for 4 years now.

    Check the inline fuses also.
    It's not the numbers or the size, it's the time spent on the water!
