Had a hard time steering my Motorguide fb 46lb. thrust tm. Thought it was the cable, but it was not. Took it to my dealer and he kind of laughed and said it was my bearings, particularly the top one. He told me that motorguide and minnkota sell there trolling motors with dry bearings so they could sell you bearings when they go out. They have it timed out just right on the warranty, bought tm in late 2005 and warranty out in 2007, I would advise guys maybe to grease these if they can......
