    Default Older MinnKota Autopilot

Who had sent me the fix for the Autopilot weirding out. Thing just takes off turning on it's own and have to turn it off. If I don't, it'll choke itself on it's own wires. One of you guys had once sent me a fix from Minn Kota through pm. I guess I deleted it without writing it down. DUH!

Are you talking about the MK service manual?

The only time I saw an Auto Pilot acting like that is when the battery is just about dead.

That can also be cause by the TM not mounted properly. When you are in your normal fishing position, make sure the shaft is within 5° of being vertical.

    Default MK Problem

Shortly after I got mine the same thing happened, after replacing the batteries. The repair shop replaced the compass, has worked fine since. Luckily it was under warranty

Where is your control? Mine is hanging from my neck and sometimes I cross my arms and activate the remote control. Just a thought.
