Default HB Satellite Weather Receiver Question

Got my receiver, and the instructions show a Y-cable from the GPS receiver. I thought it would plug straight into my 997. Any input?

I would thing it would hook up like the Wheather Sense module. J White I thing posted a hook up that would probably work for you. Mite do a search on his post this year and find that diagram or it may have just been written instructions. I think you use the Y-cable to connect it and your GPS to the same port, I would have to get my manual out to be sure, and I'm about 100 miles away. But I'm sure some one will give you the right info.

Yeah, that sounds like the "AS-Y" cable. Somehow I'd lost one of mine
(I think one is supposed to come with a combo unit) anyway J&H marine
hooked me up with one for $13 or so. I don't have the XM, but if I can
help anyway I'll be glad to.

I'm going to install this weekend. I'm hoping it plugs into the open slot in the 997. I can't find where anybody has given a review of its performance---don't know if that's good or bad.

You can plug your XM Weather receiver directly into the unit and then plug your GPS Antenna into the 6 inch pigtail that comes out of the XM Weather module. You should be ready to go.
