Humminbird Problems

997 on console 787c2i up front. Interlinked. Had factory uploaded version software loaded. My 787 up front has very weak returns. The depth jumps tp 600+ feet and back down. Blue line at about 2 ft solid across and bottom is broken light blue. GPS works fine voltage is fine but not showing any fish or strucutre at all. Sometimes bottom will disappear and then it will start from 1 ft and progress down to correct depth. Is this my transducer? Its been happening since i bought it a year ago.

when you uploaded the new version did you remove the old version from the card you used to upload with my 1197 acted up when i did this it would not save tracks when powered off and back on just a thought my give it a try

What did you do to correct this? I'm having similar problems. My 997 and 917 don,t want to shre data since the update.

when i added the new update i didn't remove the old updater from my card and it would not save the tracks what i did was take the card and remove the old up date and the i restored factory defaults before inserting the card with the new up date
also this time after i installed the new update i took the card out and cleared the update off it that way it will not tell you that it has the latest update on the screen when you power up works great after i did this

I'm not too computer savy----how do you clear the card?

reformat the card via your computer....in doing so you will lose all information on the card but then you are able to download the software from your source.

Im thinkin mine may be bad transducer.

I think it maybe the transducer. Contact our customer service department they should send you one. If you run into any issues please contact me.We will see if we can get it resolved.

On saving the tracks. I was on the water last week 4 out of the 5 days. I was using version 4.51 and did not have any issues. My unit was saving the tracks after the unit was powered down.
