Hi all I need to wire up my garmin GPS receiver to my Humminbird Matrix 37. I found a cable for the data from the Gps that also has two power wires my problem is the garmin power has to be 3.3 volts and no greater than 3.7v so I need to step the 12v down to this range any ideas on how I might accomplish this? Thanks in advance.

CATCH A BIG-UN
What model Garmin? I have a GPSMAP76 that takes 12V on the power/data cable.
The simplest option is to not hook up the power and continue to use batteries. Another option is a lighter plug for the unit that contains the hardware to drop the voltage. Just cut the plug off and connect the power wires to the data cable power leads.
A trip to Radio Shack would solve that problem.

Froger, when I bought my ifinder H2Oc it had a cigarette plug adapter with it. So it should be available. I use my ifinder in my boat always. Great unit.
