    What does it show that you would not see from your fishfinder without the map?

    It shows an accurate topographic map of the lake bottom and features like brush, fish attractors, docks etc.. The built-in mapping leaves a lot to be desired on most units.

    Thanks I thought that thats what is was suppose to show but when i put mine into my 1197C SI it doesn't do anything. Any ideas what the problem maybe?

    first check to see if the lock is on the side of the card that may be your problem.

    You also just want to make sure under the Chart Tab that the Chart Detail Level is on ALL. You also have to make sure the lake is in the coverage area. You can go out to Navionics Website and get that information. NAVIONICS: The Leader in Electronic Charts
