Default Trying to find a fishfinder around $250

Hey guys, I have been looking for a fishfinder with a trolling motor transducer.
I am looking to stay around $250. Looking thru several basspro and cabelas catalog I have narrowed my search to two similar units.
Which of the two would you chose?

Or do you have a better idea?

    Option 1: hummingbird 565
    Humminbird Fishfinder 565

    Option 2: Eagle fishmark 480
    Eagle FishMark 480 Fishfinder

    thanks guys.....

I run 2 eagle units and never a problem, thank the Lord for that.Their tech help line seems to go out of the way to help.I bought eagle because everything seemed the same on other brands,so for me it came down to $$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$

I'm a big fan of Lowrance's 2d images. Humminbird's images are great and Lowrance is better.

You really can't go wrong with either unit.

You might be pleasantly surprised with the Humminbird 718 ($199) or 728 ($299) they are worth taking a look at. Humminbird: America?s favorite Fishfinder ? the leading innovator of Side Imaging technology

    Joey,

I have thoroughly researched both the Humminbird 565 and the Eagle Fishmark 480. I live about 15 miles from the Lowrance factory which manufactures the Eagle Fishmark. I have owned nothing but Lowrance products for the past 35+ years.

I looked for every reason I could to go with the Eagle but the Humminbird outweighed the Eagle in every respect. The Humminbird has more pixels, more wattage and a dual beam sonar. The HB is also about $20 less than the Eagle.

If you put any stock in reviews, the Bass Pro Shop reviews rates the Eagle 480 at 2.7 out of 5 and the HB 565 at 4 out of 5.

I purchased the Humminbird 565 for $179 at Academy Sports and Outdoors and have no regrets.

    Hope this helps.
