Does it do it only at or near WOT? If so the transducer may be too close to engine or getting bubbles passing under it...Common problem...Just adjust hieght or move it away from motor

Maybe interference from motor running or TM or a big school of shad?

Check your power conection and battery state of charge.
I had the X510c and it would constantly lock up and freeze in shallow weedy water.
I changed out the transducer sent it in to Lowrance twice for software changes nothing worked.
Several Lowrance models have shallow water issues do to their operating software.
I replaced mine with a Vexilar EdgeII couldn`t be happier.
My first graph was the Lowrance x75 that gave me 8 years of flawless operation.
I sold it to upgrade to color big mistake.
I`m now back to monochrome but a working graph.
problem solved talked with a lowrance rep today and was informed that if you run in manual mode it will do this.. lowrances problem with no solution. it will not do this running in automatic mode.. if anyone has a question about lowrance call portronics in greenville sc and ask for ray.. he's jam up on them...
good to here you got if figured out and thanks for posting how you fixed it, i have a 522 that hasn't seen water yet and i might need to know that some day
Sent mine in over 6 weeks ago and they keep telling me to wait and one was coming in so they could send it to me. HUMM,coming in from where. Lowrance service is a major Joke
