Are you running the original operating software that came with the unit? If not that may be your problem. Also WAAS might be cutting on and off with the removal of your Navonics card.

I have a Lowrance ifinder gps. I use the "plotter" screen. The "pointer" seems to "jump around" when I am sitting still more when I do not have the navionics map card installed in the gps. Does this make sense to anyone?

crappiecrazy, there is a setting called "track smoothing" that should be "on". If yours has the same menu as my H2Oc this is how you set it or check it. Press the menu button, scroll down to GPS Setup and press "ent". Scroll down again to "Track Smoothing" and press "ent" to turn it on if its off. Hope this helps. Yours might be a little different, if you have your manuel, look up "track smoothing" in the table of contents.

I am going to "rephrase" my question. Does anyone notice a difference how the plotter screen operates (lowrance ifinder) with and without the Navionics Map Card installed?
Frogger, GPS software orginal from when I bought it.
P Gene, Track smoothing is on.
Thanks!

When it's doing that switch over to the satellite screen (the one with the bars) and check for WAAS lock and check smooth tracking like PPG said. When I upgraded the operating software it made a world of difference in how mine tracked and locked onto satellites.

Mine sits mostly still and I'm running the original software without any updates.
