Portable Fish Finder

Any thoughts and ideas on a decent portable bottom machine? Not looking to break the bank...I'd like to stay below $300. Most of the time it will go in my 16' jon boat, which doubles as a duck/lake fishing boat.

I saw a zebco hand held at Rural King but as far as how good i don't know . but the price is right around $50.00

The HB Fishin Buddy looks pretty cool and would probably work fine...or the HB Piranha Max.

Eagle also makes some portable units. I'm wondering how well the suction cup sticks to the aluminum transom...and my boat is painted w/camo paint, so will the suction cups stick to the painted aluminum? I'd think so, but just curious.

HB has a protable 535 that works pretty good.
