Default Lowrance iFinder H20 or H20c

anyone using either of these for Ice fishing. I was wondering how well the displays work in the cold? Is there and other handhelds out there at accept Navionics Hotmaps SD cards? I'm looking for a handheld unit so I can use my Hotmaps premium north card in the winter.

I've never used them for ice fishing however I am very familiar with both. I started out with a H2O, sold it and got a H2OC. The H2OC was very hard to see in bright sunlight. Lowrance was aware of the problem and swapped me back to a H2O plus gave me a copy of Map Create. Maybe the new H2OCs are better, I don't know. Not much help with ice fishing but that has been my experience.

I have the H2O and I don't see why it wouldn't work with ice fishing. Use it for fishing for the last 2 years and find it very useful. Compared to some 520c's that I have seen, it lags somewhat. Still gets the job done and very accurate. As you well know, small screen but you get use to it. Just make sure you have some good batteries in it.

got the H20 grayscale for 129$ at a local store, cheapest I found online was 149$! A little laggy with the Hotmaps card but does what I need it to on the Ice!:D Nice to be able to go to a lake I've never fished before and be able to get in the ballpark right away for finding fish.
