Default Anyone having problems with their Lowrance?

Got mine at Christmas and it ran fine for a few minutes, then shut down on it's own. I can boot it up but have to hold down on the power button to keep it on and that ain;t gonna work. Long as I hold down on the power button, it's on but the second I let go of it, it shuts down. Anyone got any ideas?

    Default Thanks man

I've got one more thing I can check on with it now. Got to thinking that my battery was a little bit low when I tried it the other day. It's hooked up to my crank battery for my motor and I got to thinking about my boat not cranking that day. MAYBE that's it. I may pull my truck up into the garage since it's raining here and hook it up to that just to see before I do anything else

Could be. If that don't help, do a system reset. You can view/download this info from Lowrance.

A few years ago I had the same problem with a new Lowrance. Checked the voltage and it was only getting about 10 to 10.5 volts. The wires from the boats fuse panel was almost off. Soldered it back and it worked fine.

    Default I've got mine

Direct wired to the Battery. Got the right sized wire it called for and temporarly had it just laying out on the deck of the boat. If this rain lets us this evening, I'll try and see what I can figure out

    Default Status Screen

There should be a status screen that you can pull up and it will tell you how many volts the unit is getting. I t does sound like low voltage though. Good luck 32Racer

Lowrance and eagle units have built in low voltage shut down. They wont run below 11 volts.
