Well got out again SUn day, made a few ajustments and tried some things suggested by canepoile , jaxsprat , Jwhite , and this is the results after putting a2 and 5/16 spacer on the transducer , and raising the drive motor ,I am sure I am clearing the airator and everything else on the transum , the first picture is with the trolling motor , the second picture is after adjusting the transducer up about 5 degrees. But when I raise the transducer 5 deg. I loose contactwith the bottom at 10 mph.The second picture is better but according to HB there is a blockage when you see that line of clouds run alongside your center cone left or right . ???? Any suggestions wil be helpful , Ive run out of things to try.

I see more air/water turbulence than blockage. I don't see any dark areas. You prob paying the price for owning a deep v. If you slow down does it it get narrower?

Lower the xducer more in the water if you can. Your image doesn't look much worse than 2/3 of the ones posting on the SI Yahooers. Go take a look.

Also, if you sit idle with SI on, does the stuff parallel to the boat trail go away? Try these two "SWAGS" next time out.

Hard to compare your images. You are going slow in the deep water and faster in the shallow water.

Yes, I believe CanePole is right on 104%---on all four items he mentioned, & yes if U could plse help us by always goin over the same area say 15 to 25 feet deep after ea adjustment & keep speed same at 3 or 4 maxmph. We are all here to help I believe U can get it working good at slow speeds say 3/4 mph for Si, but with deep deep V anything over 8-10 mph on Si will be scrambled egg, but theres things that can be done there too. Good luck

Thanks again , I can see some improvement from the air bubbles , I hope to get out again but the chill is setting in up here . If I get out Ill post the results . And I think your right about the deep V , It sure makes it tough to get the SI to work properly . Thanks again guys. answer to the questions, no, setting Idle the stuff in the trail next to the boat remains .and it doesn't chge with speed ,The only way I have been able to completely get rid of it is to drop the transducer down in the front of the boat , So you are right about paying the price for having a deep V. The only advantage is it holds more fish LOL.

I am no expert here. I have a few troubs with the War Eagle mount. I been helping friends and neighbors with their units. Mostly just guessing.

Next summer, I will run some tests on the transducer and see what happens when different things block the puck and different areas of the puck is blocked. Give me something to do. My kind of stuff to do anyway. I will be posting pictures and describing each scenario.
