You can use the HB Interlink to transfer the data. The easyest way is to hook the 797 up to your computer and down load your waypoints into the HB PC program. Then hook the 1197 up to the computer and transfer the waypoints to the 1197.

    No trouble at all.

Don't both units have a sd memory card slot? That would be easiest option in my book. Save the waypoints on the 797 and load them into the 1197.

Here is how to eport your waypoints using a sd card

To save your waypoints off of your unit you turn your unit on and go to the Navigational Screen with the maps.

    Turn the unit on.

Insert a Blank SD card in the card slot

    Press the menu twice.

Go over to the Nav Menu after the unit has locked on to the satellites.

Go down to where it says Export All Nav Data.

    Hit your right Cursor button.

You will then get a confirm Screen which says Save Tracks, waypoints and routes to MMC/SD. Hit Yes and all of your information will be exported on to a MMC/SD card.

If you have any question let me know.
