Default Question about an old Eagle Ultra II?

My console mount fishfinder just booged out on me and I really don't want to drop much money into a new one just yet as I am going to save up for HB Side Imaging. I have an old Eagle Ultra II without transducer or power cables that my dad took off his old boat. I am thinking of putting it on temporarily. I really don't use the console ff much. I use the TM mount ff most of the time. I just need the console mount for watching depth and a little structure hunting here and there. I guess what I am getting to is would it be worth the $$ to buy a transducer and power cable to use the Ultra II? I have no experience with it and don't want to waste my money if it is garbage. Thanks for any input.

For what you'll pay for the ducer and power cord, you can get a new inexpensive unit. Check the seller's forum and see what you find.

Yeah, I've been poking around online on eBay and all that and it looks like you might be right. I know BPS wants like $60 for the transducer and $15 or something for the power cable. I was just looking to get away cheap, but if I have to spend $75 plus a mount, I'm sure a low cost newer unit would be just as good as a 1992 model anyway.
