    Default 997 Trouble

We went fishing this morning and our 997 messed up. The boat icon and the track interval line were not with each other. The track line was about 1" or so off to the left at 100' zoom. Boat icon was right on as far as gps.

I had that problem on my 787 once, when I was running the 3. whatever
    software...

Turning unit completely off and back on fixed the icon/trail problem.
but this is because on that software version, it did not automatically
save plot trails on shut down. Now with the 4. whatever, it saves them -

long story short, try clearing current trail when this happens and see if
it fixes it - it should. I believe your "full" of breadcrumbs and it looses it's
mind someway until you clear it out. I may make them a gift of my
1998 vintage globalnav 310 so they can reverse engineer it :D

J White is correct. Clear the Tracks and it should correct the problem.
