Default Foot switch For Hand Control TM

Somebody please tell me how to wire a foot switch to a hand control tm. I want to put the hand tm on the transom, and run the floor foot switch up front.
Reason for this is to help sneak up on stumps with out spooking them.
Any help would be much apperciated.

Seems it would be pretty simple to run the positive cable to the switch, then back to the TM. You would then have on/off by interupting the power supply to the TM. 'Course, you won't be able to change the speed nor direction, but that would work. I'd be sure to use #6 wire though, that's gonna be a 28' run or more on only a 14' boat.

Thought about doing something similar for Spring fishing, but with the TM in reverse to be able to back off a little without prop washing the cover.

i purchased a "big foot" or "hot foot' can't remember...but i do remember that you have to cut the negative to make it work. I would do a google on it
Remember "I" before "E," except in Budweiser

It is suggested that you install the switch on the ground side. Does anyone know how it would be any different on the positive side? Just wondering..Seems it would work on either side the same.

Pick up a "big foot" switch at walmart. Just make a long run to the front of the boat and back to the motor and wire it in on ground side. Put one on my 16' jon back in the spring. works great.
Love to fish. Give thanks to God for ALL things.
