Another question that I had was will the unit still track BP when not turned on? I saw on a video that it would plot out a 7 day record for you to show the changes in pressure. Thanks for your help.

It is on all the time and you have to change the battery ever so often. It will not "plot out" the coming days. All you get is what is going on at the time you look at the display.
