    Default 997 Service needed

My dad and I bought a 997 and have had nothing but problems witht it. Now it won't even turn on without freezing up. I need to know if there is any authorized service people around. I live in KC, and the boat is kept at Lake of the Ozarks. Any insight would be appreciated.

    BuckCreekMike,

First thing I would check is the power connections. One thing I would suggest is to take your power cable and attach it to a separate battery (Your Car Battery). By doing this and it solves your problem there is a connection or battery problem. If you have a fuse holder you may not be getting a good connection there either. Theses unit have a built in over voltage protection circuit to save the unit if you have voltage problem on your boat. I have all seen where some guys run a wire straight to the cranking battery to get away from a connection problem.

If I can be of any more help let me know.
