***v2 Autopilot Remote Update***

Did you have to use the cord from your foot control or could you buy the cord to make the hand control with?

Unfortunately, you cant buy the cord with the correct plug on it. You have to use the cord from your foot control to wire into the hand control box.

That's what I had heard...do you know of a different style connector that could be switched??

Make a short pig tail of the existing cable. Use DB9 connectors and wire pin to pin (wire to wire) and you can mate other devices by just disconnecting and reconnecting at the DB9. Understand? If not, I will make up a CAD wiring drawing.

I know I'm trying to oversimplify this but is it possible to rob a flat connector off an old motor and tie it in to a new one and use the footpad and hand controls I already have???

Don't matter what cable or color, as long as it functionally matches like the drawing shows.


You can get these waterproof connectors pretty cheap. Cheaper than the waterproof DB9 I mentioned above. Whatever you do, make it waterproof.

Finally gave my hand control a workout this past weekend and I Loved it!!!...Never will go back to a foot pedal.

Have never looked at the Terrova schematic to see exactly how it works but we get the 1 kilo ohm variable resistor at any electronics parts house.I already posted the place to get the two rocker switches, and then a simple normally open push button for the momentary switch. The box came from radio shack...$3.69.And I agree with TNT I love mine and it works good!!!:D:D:D

Also on the cable I think we might can start getting them but I haven't talked to my buddy lately who is checking on them...
