Visited HB sideimaging groups. They really been been getting slammed on the GPS problems. Looks like they moved it to the top of their "to do" list. Last year they ignored my cries. This year, I guess more folks found out the GPS has a problem and gripped about it.

Those who posted on HB groups, thanks for the help. Power in numbers.

Well, Tom, when they get all of 'em fixed--includin' yours, be sure and let us all know. Then, I might reconsider buying one of the side-scan units.

I dunno though. I found PLENTY of brush piles with my little black and white Lowrance LCX-X17 and my new Garmin MAP 76 CSX. That combination is right on the MONEY when relocatin my waypoints. Put the bottom of the triangle right on the flag, look down to the X17 and THAR IT BE. Once in a while I'll have to make a second pass once I drop the marker. But, I could not be happier...except I only caught two specks this evenin'.

Water's gettin' cooler maybe the fishin' will heat up soon.

Now what can I spend that extra two grand for? I need an enclosure for the soon-to-be party barge sos I can fish all winter...and a propane heater....and an easy chair.....Hmmmmmm.

I probably just talked meself out of one...until I actually see on in action. Then I might get the bug. Glad things are turnin' around for you, Tom.

I don't expect anything soon. I believe it is HB practice to accumulate a lot of little fixes, then do one massive type upgrade. I understand this. They probably get flooded with units to fix from folks who screwed up during unit upgrade, including myself.:o
