I been gone. I will answer. Waypoints and tracks are stowed in internal memory. I believe the 797 allows for 1000 waypoints.

All gps do this. Gripes my butt. It is as simple number stowed in memory. Takes up very little memory space. They should give us 10,000. But no, they wanna sell us a bigger and better unit. GMA and I ain'ta talking Good Morning America.
