    Never see Furuno electronics mentioned. does anyone use their equipment and if so how does it stack up???--shu

    A guy i walleye fish with uses a furano. He swears it's the best at what it does. I cant disagree with him. Look at this picture from his screen. Those are walleyes down there. And here's how i know he was right.

    Shu, Furuno is a great product and here is how I know! You go to any saltwater marina and look at the boats parked in the slips you will find 80-90 percent of the boats running Furuno electronics. I think that for freshwater use you will save $$$ with Hummingbird or Lowrance products. Although the unit pictured by Chaunc looks sweet!

    Thanks for the response, what prompted the question is the questions of gps precision and when i asked my brother how he liked his Furuno gps he said it's right on compared to using loran c for years and he wouldn't use another fishfinder, My LS-4100 has too much clutter(6'-8') so haven't been happy with it, do like the walleye pics and the display on the FCV-582L.--shu

    Thats one nice stringer of eyes. How and what did you use to catch them in over 55 ft. of water?
