Default Replacing old Motorguide with Minn Kota Powerdrive

I just ordered a new Minn Kota Powerdrive V2 with Autopilot, Copilot, and USB-2 to replace an old 3 speed cable steer motorguide that I've been using for years.

Any and all pointers you old pros might tip me off to as to what I should I know, look out for, in making the switch I will much appreciate!.

I'll be using a Humminbird 787C2 upfront with this unit.

    Thanks!

You are getting an excellent motor. Unfortunately all the holes will not match so be prepared to drill some new ones. If you are going to a stronger motor, be sure your wire and circuit breaker or fuse is heavy enough to handle it
