    Question 987

Why does my 987 scan better to the left(port) than the right( starboard)? Transducer is level No blockage. This started after replacing with a new transducer. Sometimes the screen will be blank on the right side. The next time it will be fine.??

If you can get me some snap shots I will take a look at it. This will be the only way for me to problem soot it.

I would like a picture of the transom of the boat where the trandcuer is mounted and a snap shot of the screen where yoou are seeing the blockage.

You can email the picture to me at [email protected] .

    Tim,

You can go out to Humminbird.com and register your unit and get the latest software. Then you will be able to zoom in on an object. Go under Support and then under My account you should be able to register your unit and download the software.

Level the transducer. You have it set where the right side is a little lower than it should be. Mine was like that. But after leveling the ducer where its level on the water. It took care of that problem.
Also if you have it mounted on the left of the motor. Try tilting the motor up some. AS it may be in the way.
