    OK, the problem will probably be in the trolling motor. I plugged both depth finders into the rear transducer and they both showed the same temp. I will do one more test before taking it in for repairs.

    If it is in the trolling motor you will have to take it to a service center to get the transducer repalaced. The temp is built into the sonar puck.

    Figured out the problem. It was in the connection. I wasn't pushing the plug in far enough for the contacts to be made. Once I figured that out everything has been working fine.
    I appreciate all the advice I received here. It is good to know when I have a problem I can always go to this site for help to figure it out.
