Yes. I use one for a back up now and it works just fine. I did have the color model but it was too hard to see in bright sun light. Linda at Lowrance swapped it for me.

Thats a very good price. I don't recall any difference other than about $100 for the color.

I just bought the black and white for 169.00 at BPS. I didn't buy any of the extra map cards or anything like that... Didn't think I would need them, I just want to be able to mark all my crappie beds.

Anybody got any tips on the thing?

I have the H20 and love it(have used others). The only thing about marking spots is that....when your ready to mark, make sure there are several satellites connected or you won't be as close as you like. For example: when I first got it I marked a few spots real quick without checking the satellite connections, etc... I went back and it would get me within about a 20ft raduis but not right on it. I than started letting the satellites connect, and on this unit it has WAS*, and if that connects it usually is dead on or as close as 3-5ft accuracy. So when you get to a spot, don't just turn it on, wait for it to say position found, and than hit save.....wait a few minutes for more satellites to connect and than save it.

Yes. Just be very careful when working with your waypoint file you don't erase the map.
