Minnkota Gensis

I found a Minnkota Gensis, 74 lb thrust, 24 v, auto pilot not working, for $150.

Said that the motor is in good working condition.

Is it still a good deal and what’s your take on the Gensis?

Gensis is the motor that Minn Kota wishes they had never made. There the auto deploy motors and that is where they had trouble.
If it works I guess its worth that much. But Minn kota back when was taking them back in and trading other motors for them. Or I think they did take most of them back.

Thats is a good price. They didnt just take them back they were just a little to complicated for the average person operate! They would try to explain the master reset procedures to consumers but some guys just didnt want to fool with it! And to satisfy the customer they would trade! Even if the repair is $250 your coming out good!!
