Default Snow on Humminbird Hill (997)

Here is what I been talking about. Hard to get rid of this crap. Shows up real good when big engine is running. 997 has its own personal battery (not on TM or engine batt). I bout got it figured out. Sidescan and hemorrhoids go together pretty good.

This is the one I have been talking about Keith. I am almost sure it is adjacent wiring crosstalk. Triton wires are run thru a common trough along driver side. No neat way to route wires. May can relocate battery and reroute wiring. No filter will do it.

Try to run HB power wires from battery to unit thur some rubber vacuum line use it as a conduit pipe. Seal the ends good Elc tape. Worked for me my unit is very clear.

    Hope it works for you.

Pole, I have never seen that exact kind of snow on mine. I do have mine wired to the trolling motor batteries, and it goes to crap with the TM on. But I have the 997 at the console and it is rare that I use them together.

Do you suspect that snow to be coming from the crosstalk to the power cables or the transducer cable?

Worst case, just tell everyone that those dots must be small bait fish! hahhaha.

Good luck, as Panman said, chasing those ghosts is not fun. Worse than old trailer wiring.

Hell, taking a look at the pic again, the snow dots almost show a sine wave of there own. Strange.

hey tom move your trandsducer if it seems to be only when big engine is on and also run your power lines through some vacuum hose to seel off any interference
