Minn Kota 40PDV2-48 Electric Steer Trolling Motor

I am thinking of buying one of these to replace a 10 year old Minn Kota. My deck on the bow of my boat is not very large and its hard to use a standard bow mount trolling motor. I was thinking that with one of these I would be able to sit in the center of my boat and still use the trolling motor. Does any one have one of these? If so do you like it? Oh, my boat is a Fisher 1448 aw. Your opinions are appreciated.

Yes, they come with an 18ft cord on the pedal. You can also add the co-pilot accessory later if you want and operate it wireless up to about 150 ft away.
