Explain to me simply what the functions of AP & CP plus whats the problem is with storage. I have an old OMC foot control that I know is going to go south one of these days(sob sob, love it) and I will have to replace it with a new one, not a MG. Don't know what to get, another cable unit or what, I'm use to a foot control but hate my partners MG foot pedal. My main fishing is SLOWLY following the creek with my transducer looking a few degrees forward and tightlining 4 poles out front. Hovering over my GPS spots. I do fish shallow in the spawn some but like the deep fish best.
Yep. It helped. I also added that paint scraper handle and readjusted the shaft nut release thing. I can hit the paint scraper handle and it pops out now most of the time. I have trouble loading that thing back in the cradle. Once I get the Tm motor out of the water, I have trouble twisting the shaft in the right position to give it a yank and snap it home. Feel like I am gonna fall out the boat. A few cuss words seems to help. I think everyone knows what I am talking about here (PIA).Quote:

they started making the Terrova. Looks like a Motoguide motor to me. Probably both of them made at the same Chinese factory. Don't eat the paint!
Thanks again. I need to start reading what I type. I have been on different meds for my back. and think one thing and type something else.Quote:

Hi.
I have the MK 40 hp; I don't need more.
The foot control was replaced long ago by the co-pilot.
I hang the remote on my belt with a Key holder,
It works great!
Now If I had my choice, I would get the whole package,
with the internal sonar, and auto-pilot.
"No zig-zagging, or over adjustment! while trolling."
"Glove up!"

I have and 06 80# auto pillot and i added the copilot. I drive the boat with my thumb while tightlining 8 rods on the bow. Its great.
.... cp
I may be mistaken but as I understand it the Copilot still needs to be manually controlled but you have some options: A foot control on an 18' wire, A wireless foot control, and a wireless hand control.Quote:

Two more questions:
Using the autopilot can the course and speed be adjusted with the wireless hand control?
How does the autopilot do when the wind is variable (direction) and gusty?
This thing sounds too good to be true!
