Default Humminbird 787C2i On The Way

Ordered my 787c last night and got an e-mail and then phone call from John over at J&H. Looks like my unit is on backorder. Geeez...to the 18th of Feb. Don't look good for getting er' mounted up before the Crappie Tourney on the 16th. Oh well, ordered the hotspot maps from Cabelas last night and looks like they are going to beat the unit here.

Gues I'll be reserved to using the Garmin 178c on the dash until it arrives.

By the way J&H seems like the real deal. I e-mailed them and John gave me his cell # so I could call him. We worked out a deal where he would send me the trolling motor ducer and then I could send him the transom ducer back and get a refund. That way I don't have to wait and send it to Humminbird.

Nice to talk to a real person!

Thanks to the guys that recommended J&H. I'll be purchasing a 997cSI or maybe an 1197 from them in the summer. The 1197 may be pushing but we'll see.

I had the same backorder issue. I paid an extra 20.00 so they could get it from a different supplier and ship early. They will work with you. I'm hoping the retail price will go down on the units by summer, then I'd buy a 997cho and just switch the head unit. We'll see.

I bought the ram mount from J and H to give them a test run. Once it showed up promptly, I ordered the 797. Can't wait to get it.

Well if you pay enough I will take you out on my boat and let you see what is there on the 987 LOL
Or better yet sell you by boat and the 987. See what a buddy I am. HAHA

Shiloh, you'd want more for a used unit then what J & H would charge for the new one.

Unit would be free. The boat would cost thought. LOL
I am looking at a used boat. And it has the 797c-Si on it.So that would be one on each side of the boat LOL
But I don't think I would keep it. I hope to have one of the
917c Combo NVB CHO for the front of the boat. So if I buy the used Lund 2010 Pro Guide I may just sell the 797.
