Default retractable and removable bow-mount brackets

Anyone mount there trolling motor on one of these? Like the ideal that I could take it off the boat. And also slide in back into the boat from 3" to 13""
Also take it off if its not needed. Guessing i will also order the Minn Kota 60 Amp Circuit Breaker for the motor also.

    Pete,

Richard Williams got me a quick release mount from Minn Kota. I really like it. I can take TM off, slide it back, or pad lock it. Easy to use. Sure is a handy dandy widget.

    Talking Quick Release

Have been using them for years, they used to call it a retractable mount. With out it the motor would extend past the front of the boat. Broke a few props and side covers. Mine is an older model and every now and i have spray a little silicone on track . But wouldnt be with out it.

I haven't got one - but it's on my list When I'm hauling the camper,
it gets MIGHTY close to the ladder when I turn left. It'd be nice around
    docks too.

Anybody use this one? I have been thinking about getting one, but didn't know if it would be loud when turning on/off, changing direction, etc......

The motor is the Terrova 80 lb thrust 60" Shaft.
    Thanks tom.
Jeff that is one reason for me. The back or our campers do get close in a turn. LOL

That the one I have. It is for the autopilot models. I got a stainless plate and drilled it to mount to the boat using the existing Motorguide holes and shock mounts. I drilled and tapped this plate to fit the Minn Kota plate. I didn't want to drill any extra holes in my boat.

I used one of those when I had the Jon with a powerdrive on the bow. It worked great. Once I mounted it to the boat, I put a lock on it and never took it off.
