    Default 997si quetion

I now have a lowrance 452, and am thinking of getting a 997. Does anyone have a picture of a brush pile laying on the side of a step drop? This seem to be one of the hardest things for me to find. I fish what I think is brush with a heavy jig, but about half the time I can't find it with the jig to affirm that it is indeed brush.

dmac, I don't know if the pictures below will answer your question or not.. I have pics of brush on drops and I have pics of "stepped" drops.. (I don't have the combination that you mention).. But the unit would have no problem showing you brush on a stepped drop or steep drop.. Hope this helps..

I think your problem is that the brush might be old brush and would be smooth like the trunk of a old tree if it isnt to hangy than you wont feel it as much as you would one that is fresh your jig would just bump it

Could be a PVC condo! You wouldn`t see it very well on regular LCR units and is hard to snagg.

thanks to everyone that answered. This really helps me decide if I want to spend my money on one of these. If I can convince myself I can learn to use it I will end up with one.

Man that 997 produces some excellant pictures. In Shiloh Reds first picture you can easily see the fish in the tops.
