Default Fishfinder and live scope settings

Just was wondering, I’ve watched several videos, but I was just wondering if people on here would share their settings. I have a Garmin fishfinder ultra 106 SV and live scope 34. Was wondering where most people set their gain, TVG, noise reject, collar scheme, color Gain, color limit, and ghost reject. I bought a lithium battery and got it set up to its own 50 amp battery. In Ohio, so we don’t have really clear lakes here. Thank you for taking the time to read my post and any information you can share with me.also do you guys prefer a clear screen or do you prefer a little bit of clutter on your screen. Thank you and everyone have a blessed day and a blessed week.

Check out Garmin Guru on YouTube if you haven't. He's the best on settings in my opinion. He has quite a few videos on settings and what they look like on the water.
I like a screen with a little clutter so as to see more fish in brush. Remember, all fish are not sideways to the beam and can look like something other than a fish until they turn broadside to the beam.
Good luck- it's a learning curve but not really that bad.

    Jim,

I dont mind sharing my settings, although one thing i learned in LS is you will make minor adjustments until you find what suites you best. The best thing is time on the water. No one's settings are wrong, its just what works for them.

When people have a super clear screen i personally think they have too many filters running and tend to miss stuff whether it be artifacts or fish. Also i am in Louisiana, the majority of our fishing is shallow-ish dirty water. You can use them and try it out and make any adjustments.

Gain - Early Morning/Late Evening or heavy overcast days i run 56-62 -----Normal day i run 63-68 gain
    Color Scheme - Black Emerald
Color Gain - Early Morning/Late Evening or heavy overcast days i run 60-70 -----Normal day i run 70-80
Color Limit - 18% its just my personal preference i know alot of folks run it off/default
    Trails - Off
    Bottom Fill - Off
Install Depth - 1.4ft (this depends on your trolling motor)
    Stabalization - On
    Orientation - Forward
    Focus - 158
    Noise Rejections - High
    TVG - Off
    Ghost Reject - Off
    Reverse Range - Minimum
Depth - 15' (but i always adjust to stay at least 5 feet deeper than actual bottom regardless of depth with a minumum of 10' deep)
Range - default is 30 foot i never change the range any closer but will go further out when i am searching for structure or open water fish - if you are getting distortion its generally because your range to depth ratio is not ideal.

This is just what works for me again like i said there are no wrong settings with live scope and you can try them if you like them or use them as a baseline and make adjustments to suit you.

    Hope this helps.

You’re welcome let me know how it works out for you! If you need any help reach out someone here will always help.
I was at work and missed some of your original post. I also have a ionic 50ah lithium battery, I can get about 10-12 hours of pretty heavy use out of it and I’ll charge it, it’s a game changer and it holds voltage the entire time. For the money I would have went with the 100ah lithium power queen battery which I have on my ultrex

I also have the lvs34 and the 126sv which I think have the same processor although I could be wrong.

again try them and make adjustments let me know what you think. Good luck out there and get that water time in its the best teacher
Thanks jim8861 thanked you for this post

You have a good general guideline now but going from lake to lake you won't believe how much the settings can change sometimes. Some lakes i'll have gain set at 60 & some 82 or so.
