I would specifically ask that to whoever’s brand battery you want to go with - I was concerned about my 20 year old 2 stroke main power not being compatible. I asked, they said sure no problem, and so far it does seem to be gee-hawing with the lithium.

I have had 3 100 amp Ionics for now alittle over 4 yrs. No issues and love them. Bbc forum,,,I have never seen a reported boat fire caused by lithiums…if one or 2 due to wiring issues but not the battery. Blue toothed phone apps are unbeatable but lots of cheap battery meters available. I also have a 50 amp and 30 Ionic for different uses at home. I also use NOCO chargers..a 2 bank 20 amp and single bank 10 amp. If your worried about running your lithium starting battery down..get a portable jump starter..can be had for a 100 bucks or so. Once you use lithiums….you will never go back to wet cells.
Best and most affordable option IMO is to go with a single starting battery, singe trolling battery and one of our new chargers in the 12/24v or 12/36v
Any questions feel free to call me to go over Lithium options and pricing

For context please read the entire thread and then we will discuss why I chose this configuration for my preferred lithium battery Setup ... (brand decision May be answered by PM as configuration is the thread topic) ...
Not cheap ... but it satisfies my OCD of functionality and versatility ...
Y’all know I’m OCD ... Right??

YOU O.C.D. ?? never would've thunk it :Rofl
I was getting along fine running 3 group 31 lead acid and two dewalt for the LS. Then my bird 1197 died, I added a Garmin 12" at the console, then Rickie gave the 1197 cpr and it came back to life..... so now two at the console, Two Garmins and a HB up front, then all 3 of my 5 yr old group 31's died..... So, I replaced my 3 bank charger with a NOCO 3 bank adding a Noco 1 bank, with 2 12v 100 amp hour lithium for TM, (Ultrex) one 100 amp hr for electronics and a group 31 AGM for starter, live wells. Still sorting things out and networking 3 Garmins, 2 birds Put cut off switch on all 3 sources on the ground side of batteries. Pretty similar to what Rickie has done, weak minds copy what great minds figure out. Been too cold for this old guy so has not been on the water tested yet. Hopefully I did not screw it up. Love the input on this site.
