I ended up basically copying the pole ducer to the letter except I used pvc instead of the fiberglass pole. Going to take it on a test run tomorrow and if all goes well I will post a few pictures of what I came up with.

Took my transducer pole for a test run today and I can honestly say that electronics does not make you a better fisherman. Ended up putting three crappy in the boat and one bass. Saw several however swimming right by my jig and did not look twice at it.

I agree about the electronics thing. I hand stripped my boat down and thoroughly cleaned it out compartments and all. Went to a lake a couple days later, put in my boat and realized I had no depth sounders, zero, zilch. I was petrified. LOL I still managed a meal but sure felt naked. I hope that never happens again.

This is my final product, the initial test went well other than the lack of fish in the boat. With my current setup I'm able to have it securely stowed wile going to and from the lake and once I'm on the water if I need to go from one spot to another I simply raise the pole and lockdown and I don't have to bring everything back in the boat. I think version 2 I will use a telescopic clamp instead of the lock collar due to the added weight. Maybe this will give someone an idea on making their ownAttachment 419734Attachment 419735Attachment 419736Attachment 419737
