I received Ram Mount today for Solix ... It appears that the 2 x 5 base with the 2" ball could be attached to the unit in two different ways...

It could be attached to the gimbal mount.
OR
It it looks like you could attached it directly to the back of the head unit????

I hadn't really thought about it till I got to looking at it. I'm thinking mounting to the Gimbal mount is the intended manner... but having never done this before...I thought I would ask?

Thoughts????
