How does the MK autopilot work/

I am trying to figure out how the older flat cable Legacy autopilot works. I have never seen one. I dont see a wet compass control board anywhere in the wiring diagrams.

Haven't got around to this yet. Ima dealing with lots of floaters and Ima gettin another eye YAG today.
