Livescope transducer angle?

I've noticed a lot of you have the Livescope transducer mounted on a mount separate from the trolling motor. My question is does the transducer angle make much difference in the quality of the image? My Livescope has the ghosting effects along with a dead zone, mine is mounted on an Ultrex on a Triton bass boat. What I've read and seen in videos is the Ultrex is 3.5 degrees off level and the Triton bow is 5 degrees downward. I'm thinking that I need to correct this first then if the problem continues contact Garmin. What's is y'all's thought on this? The picture is terrible, taking by phone and it had been raining but you can definitely see the dead zone.
