ok i've found out that they don't. would splicing another 4' of wire to the 6' cord cause any problems resistance wise?

title says it all. i've searched online and don't see one, even on their website. i know i can splice more cord but i'd rather not if i don't have to. thanks.

I did and the thing still works fine.
The 6’ power cord is sized for the resistance of a 6’ run at the last 6’ before it enters the head unit ...
Adding more length to the 6’ run should be downsized - determined by total length of run ...

PS ..Above is what I’m “supposed to say” ...
In reality - I cut the factory power cord to about 24” , use the table in the link above for wire size, and then downsize one more gauge just for good measure (wire is cheap) ...
