Made mine from pvc and haven’t had a problem. It’s likely not the pvc but the mount.

So i made myself a nice pvc mount for a livescope. Tested it today with nothing on the pole and it is good up to. 5 mph.
Above that it starts to wobble with water pressure hitting it.
Anyone else have this problem?
And answers?
Thanks

How come you move that fast ? The pvc may need to be thicker walled ? What schedule pipe you make it out of ?

Yes, its thin stuff.
Also I'd like to be able to scan using the big motor. Going past docks

The thicker the pvc the more rigid. I am using schedule 40 but there is even schedule 80 that has the same outside dimension. Schedule 40 should be more than adequate. Also, I assume you have some way to tighten the down pipe in the mount. If not, you might try that. Good luck.
