    Default Humminbird transducer intermittent problem

I am having some problems with my transducer on my Humminbird unit. When I power on the unit while the boat is in the water, 90% of the time it will state that it shows transducer not connected. Sometimes I must power it off and back on multiple times to get it to read the transducer. Now if I power up the unit with the boat out of the water, it reads the transducer and works fine. Please , if anyone has any insight on this , I would appreciate the help. Thanks Guys.

Disassemble the cable collector and plug the cables directly into the head unit and test ...

If the xducer cable connector seems looser than what it seems it should - slightly (I mean very slightly) bend the pins in any direction ...

Also try Restore Defaults under the Setup tab ...
