    Default Ulterra GPS

I am trying to find a place on my pontoon for my Ulterra's GPS puck. Will it work through my bimini top or umbrella? With them both up, it is hard to find a place to put it.

I would recommend connecting it to power without permanently mounting it and try it in a few different locations and check it to see if it will Bluetooth to the Ulterra. you could do this off the water and then mount it. Without seeing your specific setup I couldn't say for sure. Not that I am that well informed anyway. good luck and your gonna love it.

Sounds like you're referring to the Heading Sensor for the new Bluetooth TMs and not actually a GPS Receiver. If so, it can work under your bimini top or umbrella. It only needs to be able to pair with the TM and be relatively free from EMI. Recommend testing area as JD1 mentioned before permanently mounting; but, it is only primarily used for Jogging Mode on TM.

thanks guys. I reread the instructions and found that it is just a compass and not a GPS. That simplifies my install.

Calibrate it afterwards, and the jog function will work better.
