    Default Terrova us2

Bought a new terrova with the built in us2 transducer and tried it out yesterday.Worked good at our first stop, pulled trolling motor up and made a move.On our next spot i drop trolling motor and it wont read bottom,2d screen was froze up.Messed with it and when i turned it to 200hrtz it started working again.Let it run for alittle while and switched it back to 83hrtz and it would work on 83 again.Pulled trolling motor and made a move and same thing all over again.Dont know alot about the us2 ,have generic 83/200 transducer selected under transducer selection also, and lowrance units thanks.

The Sonar gets confused when it can no longer find bottom with the xducer out of the water ...

The most common preventative of this is to put the Sonar on standby before lifting the xducer out of the water ...

Will give it a try, auto depth setting would be on 2000ft when it wouldnt read bottom. You could change auto depth to lower depth manually and it still wouldnt read bottom. But did figure out changeibg to 200 hrtz would work, thank ricky
