Alright, I think I'm getting ready to pull the trigger on one of these sonars. I've been in the Lowrance manual for the Ti and I can't find an answer.

Can you set a waypoint from the side scan or down scan screen? I need to be able to mark a spot that's say, 30 ft across, switch to down scan and go find it. Is this possible? (yes, I'm calling Brian when he gets back from vacation.)

Bonus question.....what's the most affordable TM with spot lock or anchor setting?

Yes, you can. I run a Elite Ti 5 on my Kayak and use that feature.
