researching ...again

I didn't get much responce from my post " researching". I guess it's because the Lowrance Hook 2 7x is a new unit. Any responces would have come from reading about the new Lowrance unit. My main question was relating to the comparative GPS features. They seem similar and seem to be simular in other features. Would I be better off going with the latest technology rather than buying a last years model. I already have GPS, so mapping and waypoints is not a deal breaker......thanks .....crappie1133

Not being a Lowrance owner can't help you much. But reading reviews and some of the promotion videos plus a friend bought one of the 10 in units and he really is happy with it. He has HDS 12 on console and put hook on bow. Said it is every bit as good as the HDS. No problem with GPS. Looks like a heck of a buy on a really good unit to me.
